Hello Lovelies, how have all of you been lately? As some of you might know by now from my instagram photos, my Fiance and I have adopted a puppy! Our puppy has been keeping my hands full with training, playtime and the dreaded cleanup of toys and crumbs from kibble. But before I go on and on, let me bring this story all the way back to the beginning. I have a dog back home in Canada who I adopted from the States, and currently lives with my parents- and may I add, is spoiled rotten. I had no intentions of adopting a dog, or thinking of caring for, or training a puppy while staying in the Caribbean. It was not something I thought I would do anytime soon with my Fiance. But one day a few of my friends took me down to SXM Paws to walk the dogs and puppies in the shelter, and I ended up walking a puppy (however this puppy was not the one we would adopt). I’m not sure what happened but I became obsessed with ‘puppies’ I had puppy fever, constantly looking through the photos of all the puppies SXM Paws had up for adoption and foster.
Hey Everyone, this has got to be one of my best Fashion Finds yet! It’s true that I’ve been doing a lot of shopping, and as you know I’m trying to find items to take with me to the Caribbean. Living in Vancouver BC pretty much means that your wardrobe is full of sweaters, and clothing that will keep you warm, or at least dry on rainy days. To say the least my summer wardrobe has been lacking. I’ve been stocking up on loose, basics tee’s, cute colourful dresses, and leggings, shorts, rompers etc- just Anything that will keep me cool and comfy for when I’m there.
Hey Everyone! What I love about this time of year is that summer clothing starts to go on sale, that’s right the summer hasn’t ended..but you can snag some gorgeous pieces for enticing prices. Today I decided to venture off to Homesense/ Winners. Canadians know the deal with this place, but if you’re unfamiliar with Homesense & Winners..think of it like a Marshalls, or TJ Max (which it’s under the TJ Max group). Anyways I love to go to this store for my face washes, and moisturizers because sometimes if you look extra hard you can walk away with great products, for cheap. I’m stocking up on items for the Caribbean so this is the place to go. Now, I spotted a long, white Maxi dress with some embroidered detail, and guess what it happened to be on sale for $15, from $50. The dress is by the brand Japna, and is handmade in India.
Hey Everyone, I want to make a crazy announcement! Currently I’m shopping, and planning what to take with me to the Caribbean! That’s right,
your favourite blogger Zaychishka is all about that jet-set life! Hahah. Jokes aside I’m not going for a vacation, and I’m not going for work either! I’m going with my Fiance who has been accepted into Medical School, and I will be his support system. I may dabble in freelance writing for online publications, while maintaining the Zaychishka Style blog..so I will be keeping myself busy while exploring the Island. So I hope you will enjoy all of the adventures I will be taking you on, and get ready to see some of that Caribbean life with me.
Hey Lovelies! Visiting Montreal went by too fast, and Im actually missing this city! When we had landed in Pierre Trudeau Airport and began our journey to our hotel I actually found Montreal to be an ugly place. I saw a lot of industrial sights, and massive concrete overpasses that marred the landscape. However, my first impressions changed once we ended up in the area of Sherbrooke street where our Hotel was situated. (I think this is considered the business section of town) and it’s a perfect place to be if you enjoy walking, and exploring the city on foot. This area is nearby to McGill University, and not too far away from Notre Dame Cathedral, as well as places to sit down and eat along the way. Enjoy!
Hey Everyone! Wow, OH MY GOSH! First off I am back from my trip to Montreal, and I’m still in a state of shock that makes me feel as if I’m still in a dream. I can’t believe how big Montreal really is, and what an incredible and gorgeous city it is. Montreal puts Vancouver to shame! This trip was one that allowed for little sleep, lots of socializing, eating, too much drinking and partying the nights away. I will always hold Montreal in my heart for it is now a special city to me because it’s where my boyfriend (now Fiance) proposed to me. I had no idea he had been planning to propose, and that he had picked out a ring for me. I will also tell you that I’m happy to be engaged to such an incredible, and tres romantic man.
Anyways After he proposed ( his brother captured the entire proposal on film!) we went out for a celebratory dinner by ordering a 5 course A La Carte meal with wine pairings at the restaurant called Accords in Montreal.
Hey Everyone as you know I was in Montreal a few days ago, and I have a lot of news to share! But first I want to kick-off my Montreal miniseries with a few things that I learned while touring the city that I just want to share with you!
Hey Everyone! I’m having a crazy week! Less than a week ago my boyfriend booked us a surprise trip to..Montreal! I have never been to Montreal, in fact I haven’t been to most of the Provinces or Territories of Canada and I’ve been living in this country my entire life! But, Canadian Provinces are rather large (as opposed to the sizes of Europe countries or American states). As some of you know I live in British Columbia, I’ve been to Alberta (once), and now I’m going to Canada’s East coast to see a bit of Quebec, specifically Montreal..in less than 24 hours. (There is also a cool blogger who lives in Montreal and she is Nikki from the blog Hipster Thrifter Girl shout out to her, and for visiting her turf hehe)
I never thought I’d see the day when Victoria’s Secret would say they’re no longer continuing the production of their swimwear. Wasn’t it only recently when they began those beach/ swim specials for the TV. Cue the models, and tropical paradise that we all wish we could escape to for a little while. Who doesn’t love holidays?
Hey Everyone! Living in Canada, particularly British Columbia means that you’ll seldom find deals on designer goods. It takes a lot of hard work, sifting and yes, dedication to find something worthy enough to bring home that has that great price, quality and designer label. A while ago I found a Hugo Boss tweed blazer on sale from Holt Renfrew. The original price was listed at $700, and the sale price brought the blazer down to $100. Let me stress that I remember back in the day when I was like 11 Holt Renfrew never had deals, or sales as good as the ones they’ve been having in recent years (visit Holt Renfrew during their sales and you might find something you’ll fall in love with with the right price).
