Trending Tuesday: White Now

Hey Everyone! Sorry for my mini absence from the blog-o-sphere, I’m back and ready to blog. Let’s begin with a Trending Tuesday post! There is one “trend” that is my absolute favourite to wear and style when the climate begins to soar and the sunshine is in abundance. Ahem, that is wearing white in the summer. I used to hear stories about how in Europe there would be ‘summer of white parties’ where everyone wears white clothing, and parties until dawn. If I give it some serious thought, I too wore white during my European travels. I had one dress in particular that could transform amidst the scenery and landscapes of Vienna, Rome, and throughout the cities of Greece, yielding some of my favourite pictures. So, maybe wearing white in the summer holds a bit of nostalgia in my mind, and I’m being a little biased towards this hot, and always a favourite summer trend. But, Some of you might be surprised to know that whenever the bohemian style is involved, there is often a hint of irony lingering. The boho style never began as a fashion statement, in fact the style was often worn by women who were indifferent to fashion altogether. The bohemian style didn’t filter itself into the style scene until the women of the early 21st century wanted to discard their bourgeoisie reputation in favour of a spirited, raw, and nomadic style consisting of flowing skirts, and patterns with endless florals.
