Hello Lovelies! I feel like sharing a story with all of you that happened to me during Fashion Week from 3 months ago! Fashion Week is crazy, it’s busy, there’s a schedule, and there’s people everywhere. What does that all mean? It means that seating is limited. Now imagine you’re wearing your highest heels and there’s a possibility that you might not get to sit down. Ouch, scary right? And, well this is more important than your feet aching- and that is you need to have great seating in order to take photos for your blog.
Hello lovelies. It wasn’t all that long ago when I dedicated a post to 11 tips for restoring your hairs health before colouring/bleaching. I thought I was going to wait one more month, or two before committing to Bayalage, but I couldn’t stop thinking about having a new colour to rock on my head for the warmer weather. It was time for a change! I love that hair is our greatest, natural accessory that we can change with ease. We can change the colour, style, cut, add extensions to alter length, or enhance volume- which I know a lot of you, (myself included) can’t live without volume. & if we don’t feel like changing our hair with something a little more permanent/drastic, there’s always wigs.
Hey lovelies, I hope you’re enjoying your day so far! So everyone knows that it’s not fashion week without alcoholic beverages right? Let’s just say that TFORTHREE nailed with their M.I.T collection and show. TFORTHREE (Tx3) is a contemporary brand from Italy that cultivates young and talented fashion designers, currently Guilia Geromel, Michele Cadelano, Katharina Purkarthofer, Tsu Yao Wang, Irene Silvestri, Simone Galofaro, and Stefano Lo Muzio are the leading designers for the label.
Sometimes a fashion blogger has a desire to search for unique items outside of the mainstream way of department stores, malls, and vintage shops. You see my family are the type of people who enjoy attending, and bidding at the auction, both online and in person. And, well my family has me hooked on auctions. I have childhood memories of the items my father would bring home, like that toaster that was meant for a restaurant, and required an abnormal amount of voltage. To that time he bought an ugly painting that hangs on the foyer wall. I tried to secretly sell the painting on craigslist with the caption “big ugly painting for sale”, and the end of the story is: it’s still in their house. Or the industrial meat slicer that only comes out for cutting up cheese and salami during Christmas, with expert precision.
Hey, Happy Sunday!! Actually Happy Weekend! Some of you may remember that one of my Casual Sunday posts long ago..was dedicated to Miroslava Duma’s low key and nautical look– Well this time I’ve decided to do the nautical thing just a little bit differently as a nod to summer nearing an end. I’m going to be at The Yew this weekend for their three course brunch, and seafood is definitely on the menu! So I’ve been inspired to jump on deck and wear my own version of what nautical is to a la moi, and I’m posting my planned outfit right here in this post..along with a few other looks that plays on humble rope, anchor details- vibrant reds, navy and crisp ivories..in addition to the classic horizontal stripes. & I hope these looks can inspire you if you’re wondering what outfit to wear, for brunch, on a yacht in Odessa- or coffee in a trendy cafe & patisserie .
Privet lovely Matryoshkas, are you ready for part 2 of VFW? As you know it cannot be a true fashion week without seeing at least some of the attending guests outfits. So in short this post is dedicated to the guests and also to the giveaways/ freebies. The event was sponsored by My Skye Berry Pie and they gave out gifts throughout the week. I got a cute little gift box from them that included a pineapple bath bomb, a vegan lipgloss, chapstick, gift certificates and discounts to local shops. So that kind of was nice to receive! Anyways as some of you may know my best friend came with me to two consecutive days at VFW pretending to be my “assistant” haha, and my boyfriend attended the event with me also on two seperate occassions and he posed as my “photographer”. So for when me and my best friend went it felt like a girls night mixed with a fashion night out vibe, we dressed up and on we went to enjoy this rare Vancouver event.
