Well it’s no secret Matryoshkas you can obviously tell that I loooveee Russian Fashion Designers, and their Russian Fashion Houses. They aim to impress, pouring their hearts into their work, giving the Italian and French Fashion Houses solid competition. Russians are explosive in the fashion world, they may have had a backseat, but the extra time has given these designers
Privet Matryoshka’s, I’m in the mood to write about something that will delight your imaginations and coax visions of the style of the sea!! I’ve always loved being close to the water, it’s a different atmosphere laden with nostalgia, and sights of individuals finding moments such as this to be an opportunity to bring out their nautical attire, barely there bikini’s, and of course there is that vast blue, an ocean, or the sea that continues on endlessly. Yalta is a place that fits the above description; Yalta’s located in the Crimean Peninsula (Southern shore), nestled by the Black Sea. Individuals who visit are enticed by the intoxicating aroma that lingers in the air- a blend of the Black Sea mixed with the scent of cypresses and magnolias from the nearby mountain ranges. Paradise? Da!
Privet Matryoshka’s, It’s that time of year again in Saint Petersburg!! Aurora Fashion Week has kicked off today and will last from April 9th until the 11th. Every year AFW allows Russian and international designers the opportunity to show off their work, this year the designers will be presenting designs from their fall/winter 2014/15 season collections.
My wistful mood stirs thoughts of springs arrival, where I find myself bidding an early farewell to winter; Yet I remain waiting for the next season to transform the landscape before me, to awaken all lulled by winter’s strife. Spring is one of my favourite seasons, it’s also the only time of year when one of the most beautiful events in Moscow’s Kolomenskoye park takes place.
Victoria Bonya has put up this look of herself standing beside a Christmas tree in a full length textured coat, a grey turtle neck and black leather boots for a winter chic approved style. This looks suits her well, and it’s nice she’s opted for a more subtle make-up look, making this a perfect transitional look from day to night.
Anyway, what I love seeing are the festive images she’s been posting on her Instagram page. I’ve included the few pics I’ve found to be
I’m a sucker for holiday festivities and decorations- and Tsum seems to be spreading some of the christmas cheer with both! The famous department store fully prepared itself for the arrival of Christmas by having Santa visit the store, a children’s christmas tree, gift wrapping stations and other kid friendly activities. Here are the photo’s of what Tsum has morphed into during this special time of year!
Imagine landscape’s cast in snow, tree’s too! Clearly white has asserted itself as the dominant colour within winter’s realm. Now ask yourself how does one remind winter there are other colours, bold and just as brave as this harsh season’s wintry whites. To stand out amongst the picturesque scene hurled by winter- the girl of Saint Petersburg transformed herself into the character of little red riding hood-
Pastels don’t have to be reserved for spring, instead the soft colour choice can be a go to for winter fashion when you want to have a warm and cozy look, like this girls outfit choice in Ivanovo Russia. Pastel’s in winter are also perfect for pairing with rose gold coloured accessories. And yes I like the fact this outfit includes a warm sweater, it’s practical and winter chic.
