Hey everyone!!! Hope you’re ready for this post especially if you are a fan of Mira Duma! From Mickey Mouse Tee’s to athleisure wear Miroslava Duma is making a comeback with her style. The Russian style icon who we couldn’t resist seeing outside of fashion week all those years ago is making a triumphant return with her youthful style, and appearance lately. She is a woman who has it all she’s a successful businesses woman (Co-Founder Buro247.com, TheTot.com, charity fund Peace Planet, digital investor and entrepreneur) a wife, a mother and has an amazing sense of style.
There are so many trends each season, and this winter there’s no exception. I’m sure some of you have noticed that the Pussy Bow blouse has been a staple since fall. (ahh I hate that name!!) But you’ll also notice there’s a lot of elements in the Pussy Bow blouse this time around that draws from the 80’s, sans shoulder pads. Everyone from Miroslava Duma to Olivia Palermo have been pulling off the look. What makes this blouse so appealing, (& it’s definitely not the name choice) is the soft, and ethereal romantic feel it can have. I love the look of satin or silk with the bow style, and I really favour the type of blouse that has a loose fitted neckline, Like Mira Duma’s in the image below. That being said, I also came up with a look of my own that uses a lot of Burgundy, And as promised this is one of the Holiday inspired looks I came up with. I think this look would work best for an interview, or if …
Do you remember when Miroslava Duma would wear a good, statement necklace. The thicker, the chunkier, the more detail, the better. These days however, Mira’s style is “toned down”.Her neckline is devoid of necklaces, her handbags are often black, and her accessories are basic. She’s different. Then again she is dressing the part of a business woman, a woman who works hard to accomplish her goals. But, just because Miroslava Duma is toning it down, doesn’t mean the statement necklace has fallen out of favour, and if you have an outfit that needs something, but you aren’t sure what it is. Perhaps a statement necklace is all you need this winter.
Miroslava Duma was notorious for wearing statement necklaces, the bigger the better- and those jewels always suited her. But the days of the statement necklace seem to have faded, being replaced by accessories that add to her newly evolved mature, & business chic style. The Russian style star always pulls off effortless style, even amid weeks of non-stop travel. She’s been busy expanding her fashion empire, + kick starting Buro 24/7’s Fashion Forward Initiative showcasing young talent from across Russia, Ukraine, and Kazakhstan. (Plus visiting Mongolia, Turkey, and countless other countries). In addition to all of that she’s been spotted in San Fransisco for the VFS summit. Oh and did I mention she did Paris Fashion Week- Cap à pie sans flaws. Anyways, this post is dedicated to Mira’s latest style, and what she has been wearing.
“Simplicity is key when it comes to packing luggage like a pro, but what can sabotage your packing is that little problem of choosing which pieces from your wardrobe are worthy enough to make the cut. It’s not like you can bring your entire closet, but there are a few hacks to make you look like you did, so you can remain your sartorial best in Paris, to even the Maldives (psst the Maldives is a favourite amongst the Russian jet-set). Many of us know that Miroslava Duma is the founder of Buro 24/7, and that she’s known to those of us who are fashion-crazed for her tantalizing street style. When the Russian it girl is not attending Fashion Week in Milan, Paris or New York, she’s hopping a plane to a new destination due to the popularity of her online publication Buro 24/7 that has exploded internationally. Now All of this leaves me wondering how Miroslava Duma manages to stay fresh faced, and always stylish, and what some of her best tips for travel are.
Privet, and happy casual sunday Matryoshkas! This Casual Sunday post is all about a yellow, you know that colour we associate with the ripest of lemons, the warmth of the sunshine, optimism and of happiness. Yellow is one of spring 2015’s hottest colours, and it’s also one of the best ways to add punch to any outfit.
Privet Matryoshkas and Happy Casual Sunday!! I’m in the mood to write about my style crush Elena Perminova since she has given me a bit of that winter style inspiration. You know this week my hometown finally received it’s first snowfall, (It’s even snowing on WordPress!!) but enough to cover the ground in white. There’s something beautiful in living in a place where the temperatures can dip into the negatives, it’s that glistening snow that sucks me in! I’m also reminded that the mountains nearby are open and I can start to work up the nerve to return to the mountain to do some snowboarding. Anyways this weather is made for dressing cozy, and dressing like an onion; layer after layer. I think it’s safe to say it’s time for Casual Sunday and an edition of apres-ski style + tips!
The ushanka is one of Russia’s greatest media icons, and an item that I tend to crush on from time to time. If you were with me last winter then you might remember that I wrote two posts about the ear flap hat : Wearing Ushankas With Attitude and Ushankas Are Just Made For Winter Street Style. This year I thought I’d revive the ushanka because 1). Fun, chic, and cute looks can be made with them. e.g. Just imagine sipping on hot chocolate in a chalet somewhere while wearing one. 2). If you’re like me who can’t pull off beanies or tuques well this may be an option for you. And 3). Both Babushkas and Russian mothers agree that it’s important to keep your head warm so you won’t get meningitis, and whats better than an ushanka at keeping your head warm? (Russians take keeping your head warm seriously)
I was wondering why the street style star was wearing a lot of outfits that seemed to cover her from head to toe, namely the poncho’s she was wearing a few months back. Now it all makes sense as Miroslava Duma is expecting her second child, and is still showing us how to be chic on the streets. The majority of these looks are from Paris, London, Milan and New York Fashion Week, and she’s teaching us that comfort is in.
Privet Matryoshka’s Casual Sunday time has rolled around once again!! Today’s Casual Sunday post is for those who love a lifestyle near the sea, & ultimately for those of you who just enjoy those romantic summer walks along the shoreline, and want a classic sea style inspired look. I’m sure you can guess what the theme is- and I’m even in a Nautical mood 😉 Anyways there are two versions of a look that uses stripes if you’re obsessed with today’s Casual post on all things Nautical. To offer you some inspiration here are two different looks worn by the Russian it girl who always makes it onto the style radar: Miroslava Duma.
