Hello Everyone, Happy Trending Tuesday! I have a lovely new addition to my always expanding, and never ending wardrobe and that is:. A pair of denim shorts with ultra femme details of lace.(a gift from le boyfriend, who has been spoiling me lately- more about that in the next post). I think it’s safe to say that the majority of us own a pair of denim shorts. I often enjoy styling mine with oversized sweaters, a look that reminds me of something you’d wear in Martha’s Vineyard in the America or Laguna beach..something like that. I also love that look of a basic white T, and doing the whole High Low look with jean shorts.
Stripped down, simple, clean. Those are just a few words that describe Minimalism. This fashion trend has been in circulation since the 80’s, and became more prominent in American fashion during the 90’s. Don’t believe me? Just google Calvin Klein. Let me just say that art and fashion go hand in hand with one another. In art minimalism is defined as a style that uses pared down design elements, well that statement applies to minimalism in fashion also. Which brings me to starting off this post with a basic principle that you’ll need to keep in mind if you want to conquer this style: Less is more.
Happy New Years to all of you (shout out to the WordPress community), although I’m sure no one will be reading this post until later today since you’re probably out celebrating the new year in style! Tonight I will be with my boyfriend and his family to ring in the new year- and I simply can’t wait! There will be some of the best company, and Russian home cooked food around! So..wow I’m getting distracted hehe, for myself, the new year means that I have to set new goals, break old records, and enjoy every moment fully. I do have some future plans and that will involve a photo shoot with myself, and I will be unveiling what I look like (I’m sure some of you are curious!!), and I have an interesting concept that I have put some thought into that I can’t wait to share!
I live my life hoping that one day everything will fall into place, that all of the pieces that I have will create something whole that I’ll be happy with. Sometimes I’m guilty of believing things will happen on their own; and as each year passes, I often catch myself saying “When I’m older I’ll have this, or that”. This type of thinking is dangerous, with equal parts ignorance and bliss. But things don’t change on their own, and this, well this is when you loose a little bit of your hope. While your dreams don’t feel as attainable as they once had.
This look is dedicated to my best friend who is addicted to Turkish soap operas. She tries to get me to watch these shows, but it’s bad enough that I watch Russian soap operas, K-Drama’s, & even..Days Of Our Lives (who doesn’t love Kristian Alfonso/ Fancy Face?). Now that I’ve divulged some of my guilty TV pleasures, let’s move on and forget that I ever typed that. You see my best friend happens to obsess over Beren Saat’s onscreen style, and if she could she would wear the infamous Tuxedo dress in the Turkish drama Intikam (aka revenge- and yes there is an american version of this drama). The dress was designed by Elif Cigizoglu.
Privet everyone! Last weekend was my cousin’s bridal shower, and I managed to wake up at 6am to get ready, which included the routine of putting in my extensions, putting on a full face of makeup, and bringing out the Valentinos. In my attempt to sheer a few extra minutes off getting ready in the morning I decided to curl my extensions with a hot roller set the previous night (Every minute counts in the morning!!). I then left to get to the venue which was held at a local golf course- and luckily I made it on time! I took quite a few photos, some I’m going to share here just in case some bride to be’s are looking for some inspiration for their own bridal shower. I also must say that my aunt did an amazing job at pulling off the special occasion, the venue and food served for the brunch portion was incredible. Of course all of the women who attended brought a mountain of delectable desserts, including some traditional Italian cookies. I loaded …
Dior’s Tribal Earrings Elena Perminova put up photo’s of herself wearing the Dior Tribal Earrings in her Black and Tartan outfit in the italian country-side. The earring’s are elegant, with their double-pearls,- no wonder she couldn’t resist having them for herself. For those of you who want these earrings (the look for less)
