Hey everyone this is just something short & sweet! Sometimes I just love the allure of a simple outfit. An outfit that does not come in an array of colours, or one that has a million tiny embellishments attached. Sometimes classic and clean looks like this minimalist one Elena’s wearing for a secret shot for Dior with Tatler Russia, is a look I can fall for. It’s black and white, what’s not to love? The shoot she’s involved in is for Dior cruise line.
Hey Everyone Happy Casual Sunday! This post is going to be short & sweet so get ready! I also want to know if any of you are getting ready to travel for the summer to some far off and exotic locations? I may be going on a trip but I’ll keep that quiet for now- but I will say that I promise to take photos to share with you all! I may even do a few outfit posts along the way and a few other travel themed posts!!
Privet Matryoshkas! I decided to do some quickstyle Instagram browsing tonight and I just had to check out what’s going on in Elena Perminova’s fashionable world. I feel like her IG pictures have really made up for her Fashion Week Style that in my opinion channeled the 90’s fused with the Matrix Reloaded- and fairytales? Now let’s talk about her incredible bow and pearl earrings. I have no idea who makes them, but I’m definitely swooning at the sight of them. I’m also loving the look she’s pulling off in her black, form fitted dress,- it reminds me of Olga Seryabkina in the Serebro music video for Gun; which I’ve included below! (Olga is one of the singers from my favourite overtly sexual Russian trio, pop groups Serebro)
This spring there’s a lot of trends to keep up with! Expect to see the classics this season like florals, and romantic ruffles. You know one of the seasons hottest selling dress comes from Proenza Schouler who decided to re-interpret the ruffle trend by drawing from Spanish elements- Traje de flamenca perhaps? You’ll also see that the mule shoe is back in, this time as a flat. While blouses and dresses will have a higher than average neckline. But if that’s not enough to confuse your outfit abilities to mix and match without a flaw- there’s even some 70’s inspired suede to deal with. So, with the designers deciding to throw a multitude of stuff at us, here is a Spring trend report, broken down and made simple for you. Plus a few Spring must haves I’ve picked out.
I feel as if I haven’t made a post about Elena Perminova in ages, and I’m sure some of you might be missing her style moments around here. The Russian trendsetter, and mom of three isn’t one to play around with hairstyle or makeup, you’ll notice that her hair is always done in a simple manner, or that her makeup is minimalistic, anddd I think she does this because she likes to let her outfits speak for themselves. I, on the other hand would want to be playing with my hair and makeup for each look, just because it’s fun to be able to change your looks, especially when you’re wearing gorgeous clothes. Anyways that’s enough of my opinion! Enjoy the post, you’ll see some style that varies from Christian Dior, to Elie Saab.
What do we look for in designer fashion labels? Is it their relevance, or the way they make a statement? When fashion week rolls around, the concrete catwalk is almost as equally as important as the runway. The streets set the trends. The quirky, and vibrant outfits of the risk takers are flaunted in our faces, while the style makers will be setting trends that so many of us will be inspired from, and interpret. It’s no secret that there’s just a few brands out there that continue to roll out those hot list items that we continue to crave. These top 10 brands know how to market love at first sight, and they definitely know how to slay.
Hey everyone, it’s Casual Sunday once again! & today’s look incorporates one main element: The sweater dress. I have a sweater addiction, and if I could get away with it, I’d probably wear a sweater to every function, event, dinner- etc. So this might explain why I’m favouring this look that Elena perminova wore. I’ve featured this look by Elena on my blog before, but thought it deserved a true Casual Sunday spot. I also put in a few of my top sweater dress choices, and the links of where they came from below.
Hey everyone! I hope you are making room in your closets because the Balmain X H&M collaborative collection is coming out November 5th. There has been a lot of chatter surrounding the latest collaboration for H&M x Balmain- involving leaked images of Kendall Jenner, and Gigi Hadid showing off “Lots of pieces in this collab.”(the very exact words from the woman who “leaked the images”). Anyways, I’m not all that interested in seeing Gigi or Kendall showing off the Balmain goods, instead I’m loving the behind the scenes images of Elena Perminova’s photoshoot with Elle Russia wearing HMBALMATION.
Hey everyone! It’s been a while since I’ve put some effort into coming up with a Casual Sunday post. If you’ve noticed my last one was very “summery/nautical”, and I need to conform to all things fall! So this Casual Sunday post is more about how to do “parisienne casual”, or at least the way Elena Perminova does casual when she’s in paris. The look Elena is wearing is all by Isabel Marant (I adore Isabel Marant’s knitwear & there’s a part of me that’s still upset that I couldn’t get any of her pieces from her H&M collaboration). To break the look down further it’s essentially a cable knit sweater, structured leggings, ankle boots, a handbag and sunglasses. Each piece falls within the neutral palette. P.S Anyone can pull off this style, even if you don’t have the wallet for Isabel Marant. Just look for an oversized cable knit, and partially tuck it into some high wasted trousers, or structured leggings and away you go, you’re ready for fall you gorgeous girl.
Fall trends have been circulating for a while now! And there’s been a few trends that I’ve noticed that have been gaining popularity in recent days- either on Instagram, Real life, Vogue, or on Polyvore. So, here they all are! There’s everything from Sleeveless jackets to lug soles.
