Privet Matryoshka’s Casual Sunday time has rolled around once again!! Today’s Casual Sunday post is for those who love a lifestyle near the sea, & ultimately for those of you who just enjoy those romantic summer walks along the shoreline, and want a classic sea style inspired look. I’m sure you can guess what the theme is- and I’m even in a Nautical mood 😉 Anyways there are two versions of a look that uses stripes if you’re obsessed with today’s Casual post on all things Nautical. To offer you some inspiration here are two different looks worn by the Russian it girl who always makes it onto the style radar: Miroslava Duma.
Privet Matryoshka’s, ever since I laid my eyes on Ulyana Sergeenko’s lovely wooden purses from her Spring-Summer 2013 collection I’ve been head over heels in love! What I loved about these purses from the beginning are that they noticeably have a care-free, whimsical quality- and with a certain subtlety they even preserve Russian culture. How? What?!?Where is this culture being concealed & preserved ?? Hehe, well if you look at Ulyana’s purses (check out the “Unexpected Love” post if you’re unfamiliar with these wooden boxes) you will see that she added elements from both Russian folk and fairy tales in the designing process.
Privet Matryoshka’s!! I must confess that I’m a little bit of sweater addict whose been eyeing Vika’s iconic embellished cotton blend sweater since it’s 2012 debut. My need for this sweater was further fuelled by seeing Miroslava Duma wearing it during Paris Fashion Week (2012). Some might say that my lust for luxe spiralled out of control, but to no avail could I get my hands on this Made In Russia Vika original. So I did what many would do in my case, I had to forget the sweater knowing that I let it escape my grasp.
