Elena Perminova’s Sky High Style

Privet, today’s Casual Sunday post was inspired from a minor day trip I took on thursday  to a small airport just to have a certain culinary experienceYou see this particular airport is tiny, and it’s known for it’s famed desserts. When you first walk into the little building that hosts the airport cafe the first thing you see is their motto “I Fly For pie”- so that right there tells you automatically what you have to try. Once you find yourself a seat you can have breakfast, and yes pie while watching the little planes (cessnas) and helicopters land and takeoff. I decided to wear my H&M romper for the trip (Since our weather has been scorching, Friday it climbed to 31 degrees). Continue reading “Elena Perminova’s Sky High Style”

Miroslava Duma’s Yellow Cable knit sweater

Privet, and happy casual sunday Matryoshkas! This Casual Sunday post is all about a yellow, you know that colour we associate with the ripest of lemons, the warmth of the sunshine, optimism and of happiness. Yellow is one of spring 2015’s hottest colours, and it’s also one of the best ways to add punch to any outfit.

Elena Perminova Casual In Paris

It has been ages since I’ve last worked on a Casual Sunday post featuring Russia, and the Ukraine’s best dressed! So to revive Casual Sunday, I’m starting off with a look worn by my style crush, Elena Perminova! During Paris Fashion Week the streets are filled with women who are wearing beautiful ensembles, and yes some opt to wear questionable outfits that only make sense for the intended purpose of street style entertainment. Casual Sunday: Natasha Poly’s Beach Waves

NatashaPolyCasual.jpg

Privet Matryoshka’s! I’m feeling a little tired right now! I ended up attending an Armani Collezioni event held at ‘The Room’, where models showcased this seasons fall collection. I loved the entire event. I took so many photos of outfits I found to be chic, versatile and sophisticated. So, I can’t wait to show you a glimpse into the personal shopper world where fun, pink champagne and hors d’oeuvres are served, and refilled by the minute. But until that post goes up I hope you can be satisfied with this weeks Casual Sunday post featuring the always gorgeous, Natasha Poly. Continue reading “Casual Sunday: Natasha Poly’s Beach Waves”

Casual Sunday: Après-Ski

Privet Matryoshkas and Happy Casual Sunday!! I’m in the mood to write about my style crush Elena Perminova since she has given me a bit of that winter style inspiration. You know this week my hometown finally received it’s first snowfall, (It’s even snowing on WordPress!!) but enough to cover the ground in white. There’s something beautiful in living in a place where the temperatures can dip into the negatives, it’s that glistening snow that sucks me in! I’m also reminded that the mountains nearby are open and I can start to work up the nerve to return to the mountain to do some snowboarding. Anyways this weather is made for dressing cozy, and dressing like an onion; layer after layer. I think it’s safe to say it’s time for Casual Sunday and an edition of apres-ski style + tips!

Casual Sunday: Peplums & Natalia Vodianova

casual sunday

Fall, the time when leaves begin to leave the trees, covering the ground as a precursor to the blanket of winters snow fall. For some fall is a favourite season. It’s surreal to see the changing colours in the trees that line the streets. While the subtle chill lingering in the air brings with it a sort of nostalgia, and memories of the first time when I drank a pumpkin spice latte (Yes I drink those!). Well Matryoshka’s summer is over, but Casual Sunday’s are not! Time to bring out your fall fashion crushes and enjoy the new season while it lasts. Casual Sunday: Vika’s In Jeans & A Printed Tee

vikaaaa

Today’s Casual Sunday inspiration comes from a look worn by Vika Gazinskaya for Tsum’s Fashion Night Out event (which happened a while back ago). When the day calls for basics, printed tee’s and jeans are the casual of the casual wear. I’ve been seeing a lot of printed tee’s and sweaters inside of H&M. Most of the tee’s and sweaters are incorporating ‘French words’ for those wanting a loud, parisian chic inspired wardrobe. So if you don’t have a basic top to pair with jeans, or you’re a fan of sweaters; H&M would be the place to go for a cheap trendy printed top. Besides Vika’s lip print Tee is no longer available, and you’d had to have been in Moscow to receive it. Anyways enjoy the look…I think it’s cute…esp Vika’s top(s) that she’s showing off.

Casual Sunday: The Jetsetter

cass

Privet Matryoshka’s! I haven’t put up a Casual Sunday post in forever, but this look has prompted me to make a Casual style post for you guys, and it’s called “The Jetsetter”. Ah, so the end of August can mean the end has come for most of your summer vacations, & August can also mark the end to the summer, which is sad I know- I don’t want summer to be over either. Soon I’ll be posting looks that are more concentrated on the fall season, and I have some looks already planned out for you guys to get inspired by. Continue reading “Casual Sunday: The Jetsetter”

Casual Sunday: High Contrast, White Pants.

casual sundayyyy white

Not all of us can jet off to kenya for close ups with the Zebra’s to show off their perfect pair of white pants!! But you can find the perfect pair of white pants to show off on a Casual Sunday. Not long ago I began my search for the perfect pair of white pants. You know searching for white pants is difficult, and I do have a set of requirements- in the end I settled on a pair. White pants are fun for when the mood calls for casual. Today I’m actually going to be wearing my white pants that I’ve decided look nice with my super soft ballet T from the Gap, and I’ll most likely wear my cute Sam Edelman “orly” heels- They’re comfortable enough for me to consider them as casual footwear attire. Anyways, so I thought it was kind of fun to see Elena Perminova wearing white pants, around the same time my search for white pants began, And this is why today’s Casual Sunday post is all about white pants. Hope you enjoy the look the Russian it girl has been toting around on her adventures in Kenya. + Maybe I’ll throw in some tips for finding white pants to love, and take on your own adventures.
