Ulyana Sergeenko’s Fall-Winter 2014 collection is opening the doorway to Russia’s past of coups and revolutions, from the first quarter of the 20th century. Audiences at Paris Fashion Week will be shown into Ulyana’s world of Russian avant-garde, with anticipation as her last collection featuring elements from her childhood spent in Kazahkastan and Central Asia will still be on their minds.Â
The couture preview from the fall & winter season explored the use of a soft colour palette of Lilac, tinged violet, pinks, yellows and an added use of Ulyana’s signature red…and a vibrant blue to shock. Each garment displayed the delicate art of traditional Russian embroidery, and those hemlines are something to adore. I just can’t get over how lovely that shelf looks filled with all of the shoes, and I love that she is expanding and maintaining her work of accessories,- high heels, and purses alongside the couture garments. What are your thoughts on this collections preview- are you ready to say Viva la Revolution?
Like your article on Ulyana Sergeenko. I love her designs!
